If you don't know what to talk about, talk about the weather, they say. And so, we never do. This week, thanks to Greek artist Georgia Sagri – currently busy preparing her Maniefsta 11 project in Zurich – who will speak today at 5pm, and Berlin-New Yorkers Calla Henkel and Max Pitegoff – best known for their New Theater – who will give a talk tomorrow 6pm, both at ZHdK.
Who prefers words written down and still doesn't mind a chat should stop by Binz39, today at 6pm, for the catalogue launch of the die-hard foundation's 2014-2016 program – and watch out for the works in the ongoing show by our team member Sally Schonfeldt, and by Leila Peacock, one of this year's Kadist – Kunsthalle Zürich Production Awardees. Or join our neighbour Patrick Frey for the presentation of his brand new Female Chic: Thema Selection – Story of a Fashion Label on Saturday at 4pm in the most suitable stylish surroundings of said Zurich fashion store Thema Selection.
Another great thing to have seen and not just heard is UK-Zurich video art transplant Ian Wooldridge’s The Skin of a Drum, further gestural positioning, wrapping up at the vivacious off-space Taylor Macklin tomorrow from 7pm in Schwamendingen. And the talk of the town (certainly on Schwamendingerplatz) will certainly be Bailey Scieszka performing The Soft Side of Hardcore starring Old Put the Clown at our all-time-favorite A La Luna Bar, presented by Plymouth Rock at 11pm.
