Gabriel Sierra will travel to Zurich to talk about his recent exhibition Before Present at Kunsthalle Zurich. Together with Daniel Baumann, he will then walk you through The Playground Project, the current exhibition exploring more than 100 years of play and urban space, art and architecture. What unites playground design with the work of Gabriel Sierra? It is the belief that built spaces offer and manipulate experiences; that they are repositories for ideas, emotions, and convictions; and that they are traversed by multiple layers of time and singular stories.

Ambassador Julián Jaramillo of the Embassy of Colombia in Switzerland invites you for a drink following the conversations.

The event is supported by the Embassy of Colombia in Switzerland.

Gabriel Sierra (*1975 in San Juan Nepomuceno, Colombia) lives and works in Bogotá where he studied industrial design at the University Jorge Tadeo Lozano. His work has been presented in international solo exhibitions such at Sculpture Center, New York (2015), The Renaissance Society, Chicago (2015), and the Kadist Art Foundation, San Francisco (2013). Selected Group Exhibitions include the Venice Biennale / Palazzo Fortuny (2015), the 2013 Carnegie International in Pittsburgh, the Second New Museum Triennial, New York (2012), and the Biennale de Lyon (2011).
